Resignation of editorial boards

An increasing phenomenon is the mass resignation of editorial boards that clash with the profit logic of publishers; the reasons range from disagreement over the high costs demanded to authors for publications, to the pressing demand to increase the number of special issues and articles to be published, to disagreements over the evaluation of manuscripts received…
The result is that resigning editors often initiate new diamond open access publications.
